ABOUT US
LNnewpower Technology (Beijing) Co.,Ltd. is established by Shanxi Meijin Energy Co., Ltd. (000723. SZ) and research team led by Academician Jiujun Zhang. As a crucial part of entire hydrogen energy industry chain layout by Shanxi Meijin Energy, LNnewpower is an efficient technology transfer platform which focuses on R&D and manufacturing of applied materials for new energy industry.
The LNnewpower project is originated from “Strengthening Foundation and Optimization Industrial Chain Project” founded by Meijin Hydrogen Energy. The aim of the LNnewpower project is to develop key materials for hydrogen energy industry and solve the issue of domestic production of carbon paper.
Depend on the core technology development capacity of Academician Zhang’s team, the LNnewpower project has achieved a breakthrough in advanced manufacturing of high performance carbon fiber composite materials, the whole manufacturing process is independent.

Fuel Cell
As gas diffusion layer (GDL) of proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC), carbon paper can play role as electrically conductive pathway, waste heat disposal and providing mechanical support to cell structure in fuel cell. The special designed porous structure can balance the dual-phase diffusion and rapid mass transport between catalyst layer and bipolar plate. Thus, the carbon paper can facilitate the electrochemical reaction and improve the energy transfer efficiency of fuel cell.

Water Electrolyzer
Carbon paper can be applied as cathode porous transport layer (PTL) in proton exchange membrane water electrolyzer (PEMWE) or in anion exchange membrane water electrolyzer (AEMWE). According to the working condition of water electrolyzer, the thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, mechanical support capacity, hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity, mass transfer property and anti-corrosion performance of porous transport layer are adjusted and balanced. The optimized products are corresponded with working condition of electrolyzer, which improve the entire efficiency and lifespan of water electrolyzer.

Flow Battery
Carbon paper can be applied as electrode in flow battery. The carbon paper properties are adjusted to the requirement for electrode in flow battery. The optimized carbon papers possess advantages of high porosity, high permeability, balanced flexibility and mechanical strength, high specific surface area and electrochemical surface area, proper hydrophilicity and anti-corrosion property, which can promote the electrochemical reaction of flow battery, improve energy conversion efficiency, increase the longevity of battery.
